Tornado Wrestling
Bringing the sport of wrestling to the Purvis Youth in 2026! This fall, we will be starting a Youth Intramural League to introduce wrestling to the community. Youth in Purvis, Baxterville, Lumberton, and Dixie are welcome to join. Wrestling is the fastest growing sport in the United States and to grow the sport, we need to start with the Youth. Open to grades K-6th both boys and girls!

Our Mission
Our wrestling program is dedicated to developing disciplined, resilient, and accountable athletes by fostering a culture of hard work, respect, and continuous improvement. From youth to high school, we strive to build strong fundamentals, competitive excellence, and lifelong character—preparing our wrestlers to succeed on the mat, in the classroom, and in life.
Started in the 2025/2026 season, our inaugural year was achieved with success. For a first year program, our girls team represented in the South State Dual tournament! We also had four wrestlers make it to the Mississippi State Tournament with a strong showing and leaving with a State Placer!
With more time and athletes, this program will quickly become a known program for both Boys and Girls. Currently open to Purvis High and Middle School students.
