Building Champions on and off the Mat!

My question is if you say you love sports, kids, and making a difference…. Why would you not???? To go from not having a team to hosting a state wide tournament year one…. No way!

Landon Hensarling-Returner-7th grader
14U Folkstyle 120 lb 2nd place
14U Freestyle 120 lb 3rd place
No Greco
Our 25-26 most improved wrestler just keeps improving. He won his first ever metals and I’m glad to see it. He was on board from day one workouts and has put on several inches and 26 pounds of twisted steel and… you know the rest! Our lightweight just keeps getting better!!!
Bentlee Piggot-Newbie-8th Grader 14U Freestyle 115 lb 2nd place
14U Greco 115 lb 3rd place
No Folkstyle
This was Bentlees first tournament and it’s always good to get your feet wet and win a couple medals. He benefited from a couple forfeits, but he did what was needed on the mat to find success and it was awesome to see his confidence grow.
Nevaeh Simmons-Returner-11th grader
16U Freestyle 235 lb 2nd place
Injured during match so didn’t do Greco but she will be fine and still finished 2nd. Looking forward to see what the captain does her senior year after finishing 2nd at South state last year!
Tucker Mitchell-Newbie-7th Grader
14U Freestyle 155 lb 4th place
Trial by fire… Tucker drank from a fire hydrant Saturday as a new guy, but managed a top 4 finish! Looking forward to watching him develop skills and confidence!
And last but not least…. The smallest guy on the team….
Braxton Holmes-Newbie
10u Folkstyle 77 lb 1st place

3 Basic Values for Tornado Wrestling
Our program is built on a foundation of respect and relentless perseverance in every match. Life is tough and we develop our athletes to be prepared for it through wrestling.
Discipline
Wrestling demands consistency—early mornings, tough practices, and strict habits. It teaches you to do what needs to be done, even when you don’t feel like it.
Resilience
You lose. You get taken down. You get exhausted. Wrestling teaches you how to get back up, fight through adversity, and keep going no matter what.
There’s no hiding on the mat. Wins and losses are on you. Wrestling builds responsibility, ownership, and pride in your effort and preparation.
Accountability
